He is not here, he is risen…

On Easter morning the women went to the tomb.

“On the first day of the week, at the crack of dawn, the women went to the tomb, carrying the spices they had prepared.

They found the stone rolled to the side of the tomb.

They went in, but did not find the body of the Lord Jesus…

… Why do you seek the Living One among the dead? He is not here, he has risen…

… Then they remembered the words he had said.

When they came back from the tomb, they reported all this to the eleven and to all the others…”

Lk 24:1- …12

What good news on Easter morning!

Christ has conquered death!

He has risen! He is alive!

Behold, women are the first to hear the news of the resurrection, and what is more, they are entrusted with the task of informing the apostles.

It was unimaginable at the time that women were chosen as messengers and sent to the apostles.

The life-giving messengers are sometimes people who were not expected.

Our founders were, in their own way, messengers of life to children, to the sick, to the population, by witnessing to the Risen One where they lived.

What about us Daughters of Charity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus?

Let us open our eyes and listen:

What is the message of life that awaits us today?

Let us allow the Saviour of the world to inhabit our lives with his presence.

Perhaps we are called to be his messengers of life, where we are, so let us not hesitate!

Let us enter into hope!

Le Christ rescuscité

Hallelujah!

Life is manifesting itself!
