Attracted to the Heart of Christ
Of different ages and of different living conditions, the Associates are attracted to the Heart of Christ. The people are totally animated by the desire to deepen their life of faith and to be engaged in the Church.
They are united to the Daughters of the Charity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus by the bond of charity. Their engagement is defined in statutes established by the General Chapter.

Close collaboration between lay people and the FCSCJ has always been experienced and encouraged in the Congregation. This is the fruit of the reflection made on this subject during the General Chapter of 2007.
-That a new form of bond with the FCSCJ be recognized in the Congregation, that of:
Educational mission partners;
Partners in health or social mission:
-That, if other forms of union are experienced in the coming years, they will be evaluated in the next Chapter.
General Chapter 2007
The Spirit of Jesus Christ brought forth the Church as a sign and instrument of the Kingdom, and at the heart of this Church, the same Spirit inspired the Congregation of the Daughters of the Charity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
He confided to her a mission which today is expressed in a common project of evangelization:
Without being called to religious life, the Associates participate in the mission of Jesus Christ according to the spiritual orientation of the Daughters of the Charity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and their project of evangelization.
While keeping their own state of life, their own residences, work and different engagements, the Associates participate in the celebrations of the Congregation and hence are nourished in fraternity bonds.
Through total adherence to Jesus Christ,
Reveal that He is alive.
By the cordiality and the simplicity of our relationships with others,
Witness that He is near.
By our willingness to respond to the needs of others,
Announce that His Love id universal.
. We are united by “a firm ardent desire” to enter profoundly
in the mystery of love in the Heart of Jesus

In the steps of Jean-Maurice Catroux and Rose Giet, we also find our identity by giving of ourselves to works “for the greater glory of God” in becoming conformed to Christ and “in serving Him in the person of the poor and our neighbor in general.”
Together, the Daughters of the Charity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Associates, it is up to us to search how to make that original grace bloom and to realize more efficiently our mission for the present day.
The times of spiritual renewal, prayer and sharing of life allows each one to live the Gospels according to the charism of the Daughters of the Charity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
